40. Obsess

Technology takes you to the treetops
My curiosity becomes binoculars
Your wanderlust glides like a gull

Each branch yearns for a foot’s affection
The mulberries crave you
Those sunbirds long to kiss your song

The future calls you to the top
Tomorrow’s technologies air their love
That ladder adores the adventure of legs ascending

The future’s fingertips touch your face
My fence envies everything there
Even the mulberries that moan your name
